The Felix Project
Our wonderful Sandro and Sylwia have been using their time during lockdown, cooking up over 600 meals for the most vulnerable in our community. We are proud to be working with the fantastic team at The Felix Project to make this happen.
The Felix Project rescue good quality, nutritious food from supermarkets and venues across London which may have otherwise gone to waste, sort and deliver to over 400 schools and charities in the city. Since 2016, not only are they tackling the issue of food waste, but hunger in London too.
Unfortunately food poverty is still a growing problem, meaning that around 4 million children live in households that struggle to afford nutritious foods. The Felix Project ensures that those who would otherwise go hungry are receiving healthy, nutritious meals.
During the pandemic, The Felix Project have also been busy delivering meals and snacks to front-line workers and emergency food hubs, as COVID-19 has hit the poorest the hardest and so it is now more than ever that the work of this incredible charity is not going unnoticed. 2020 was a record-breaking year for the team delivering an INCREDIBLE 21.1 million meals to those facing hunger in London.
