FAQs
Burning questions? You're in the right place!
If you can't find what you're looking for, please pop us an email on hello@thepilgrm.com.
Can I store my luggage before/after check-in?
We will do our best! We have very limited space and therefore we cannot guarantee there will be room for your luggage. However, our team will be more than happy to help if space is available. More often than not, there is.
Do you offer twin beds?
We don’t offer any twin rooms (2 separate beds in one room) at The Pilgrm, apart from our bunk room. All other rooms either contain double or king-sized beds, or we have a handful of single occupancy small rooms with one large single bed – perfect for solo travellers and short stays.
Can I add an extra bed to my room?
Unfortunately not, our rooms our very compact so this wouldn’t be possible. For more information on our rooms, click here.
Do all bedrooms have private bathrooms and toilets?
Yes! Although we do not have baths, we have showers. Every bedroom has a private en-suite shower room with a toilet. We also have hair-dryers in every room (found in The Pilgrm tote bag).
Is there parking on-site?
We do not have on-site parking at The Pilgrm, however there is a national car park within 10 minutes walk. You can also use one of the many parking apps to find a space nearby, and even pre-book.
What time is check-in?
3pm
What time is check-out?
12pm
Can I arrive and check-in late?
Yes, we have a night manager here over-night, so you can arrive at any time and they will be able to help you.
Can I check in early?
It is very unusual for the rooms to be ready earlier than 3pm, especially over the weekends, however, you are always very welcome to ask once you’re here just in case. If your room isn’t ready, you can request to leave your luggage and head off to explore for a few hours, or find a comfy space in the lounge to enjoy a few drinks and snacks.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, absolutely! We love welcoming furry friends and have a limited number of dog-friendly rooms. Please be aware, you need to add your dog onto your booking - you can do this through our website. We can only accommodate 1 dog in our dog-friendly rooms, and you are required to book a medium or large room. Please have a read of our dog policy here.
Can I bring my baby?
We can provide baby travel cots in our large rooms, upon request and subject to availability. If you will need a cot please do request this as soon as possible ahead of your stay via hello@thepilgrm.com and include a note on your booking.
Do you have high-chairs?
Unfortunately not, sorry!
Do you offer wheelchair access?
Unfortunately, we do not. The old Victorian building contains lots of stairs and small, winding corridors which has made this sadly impossible. We do have a lift which accesses every floor, but there are some stairs at the entrance to the building, and within some of the corridors which means none of our rooms have step-free access. If you’d like to request a room on a lower floor, which is a little easier to access (subject to availability), please leave a note on your booking or reach out via hello@thepilgrm.com.
Can I make a booking in the lounge or on the terrace for brunch or drinks?
Of course, we take bookings for tables after 11am online via this page here, or you can email us at lounge@thepilgrm.com. Before 11am, please just pop in and our team will get you seated as soon as a table is free. Please note, our terrace is strictly non-smoking.
Do I have to book a table for breakfast if I am staying?
No, we don’t take reservations before midday, so please just come down whenever you’re ready. (By midday if you have pre-added breakfast to your stay, or by 3pm if you haven't).
Do you offer an evening menu?
Whilst we don’t have a dinner menu, we have delicious bar snacks and small plates available from 3pm, alongside a carefully curated list of cocktails from Untitled Drinks - the iconic team behind Bar Termini and 69 Colebrook Row, plus a selection of brilliant wines. See the evening menu here.
Can I visit the lounge or terrace even if I am not a staying guest?
Of course! The lounge and terrace are open to everyone. You might find it a little busy before midday though, as this is when our staying guests have their breakfast.
Can I come and use your space to work in?
As much as we’d love to be able to welcome everyone, all the time, our spaces are limited so we have to give priority to guests who are drinking and dining. You are of course welcome to come and enjoy a coffee, treat yourself to some pancakes, and then get some work done if there is space. However, during busy periods if you aren’t enjoying something from the menu, we may ask you to give up your table to someone who needs it.
Do you offer special rates for guests regularly staying through their work?
We do indeed! If you and your colleagues plan to stay regularly, let us know and we can look at setting you up with special rates. It’s best to email hello@thepilgrm.com.
Can I make a booking over the phone or via email?
We don’t take bookings over the phone or via email. It really is quickest and easiest to make your booking through our website, which has all of our availability and prices live:
booking.thepilgrm.com
If you have an unusual request for your booking, or need to book a large group, drop us an email at booking@thepilgrm.com.
It’s always best to book directly with us.
What is the public transport like near the hotel?
The short answer is - you couldn’t be better placed for easy travel options! We are less than 3 minutes’ walk to Paddington Station, which offers the Heathrow Express for those travelling to or from the airport, several national trainlines which connect to towns and villages outside of London, and several tube lines (Bakerloo, Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, and the newly-opened Elizabeth Line). There are also several bus routes right on our doorstep, which take you all over London.
If we can help with anything else, please pop us an email on hello@thepilgrm.com.
