Duda Diner arrives at The Pilgrm

Duda Diner arrives at The Pilgrm

This September we welcome Hakeem and Zura Ahmad, the husband-and-wife team behind Duda Diner, for the final chapter of our 2026 Incubator Kitchen Series at The Pilgrm in Paddington.

Duda Diner is built on family recipes, the couple's favourite places to eat across Malaysia, and their own experience of building a life in London. Hakeem's family hail from Kelantan, Zura's roots are in Pahang, and between them they carry a lifetime of food memories from Malaysia's East Coast, alongside years spent eating their way across the Klang Valley, one of the country's great food regions.

What started as a passion project quickly built a loyal following. An eight-month Malaysian pop-up at Goodcup in Nunhead introduced Londoners to a playful, personal and unapologetically Malaysian style of cooking. This September, Duda Diner travels west for the first time, finding a new home at The Pilgrm.

Expect a menu that moves confidently between comfort and spice - plump oysters dressed in sharp, chilli-laced sauces, a well-stacked burger built for two hands, and generous cuts of fish glazed and charred just right. It's food that wears its Malaysian roots proudly while still feeling entirely at home on a London table.

Duda Diner captures the spirit of our incubator kitchen programme - a platform built to give emerging chefs the freedom to develop menus and share the stories behind their food in an intimate setting. It follows Ladeed from Nargisse Benkabbou and Rho from Marios Miliorellis and closes out the 2026 series.

Duda Diner is at The Pilgrm from Thursday 17th September until the end of December, Wednesday - Saturday, 5.30 - 9.30pm. Walk-ins welcome, though booking ahead is recommended.
