Keshia Sakarah at The Pilgrm - Caribbean Chef Residency
As part of our on-going chef residency series celebrating up and coming chef talent from across the UK, we're very excited to be welcoming chef, author, food educator, and the all-round brilliantly talented Keshia Sakarah to The Pilgrm this October for 7 weeks.
Sakarah brings with her a wealth of experience having launched her own restaurant 'Caribe' in 2018, along with an admirable passion for Caribbean cooking - the cuisine she grew up eating and which has strongly shaped her sense of identity. Sakarah’s own heritage draws back to Montserrat and Barbuda, two small islands off the coast of Antigua but her cooking takes inspiration from the Caribbean as a whole, reflecting the region's diverse history and culture through food. This journey has also inspired her debut cookbook, Caribe: A Caribbean Cookbook with History, which explores the depth and diversity of Caribbean food traditions, interweaving personal stories with recipes that celebrate the islands beyond the more widely known destinations.
Inspired by the food she grew up eating and a lifetime exploring the region, Keshia’s Caribbean menu is delicious, truly personal and full of history - see the menu here.
Online bookings for Keshia Sakarah at The Pilgrm are now OPEN, reservations are available from 30 October until 20 December, Wednesday to Saturday, 5.30-9.30pm.
