The Sound & Supper Club
Sounds, sunshine, and supper. Who’s in?!
This summer, The Pilgrm invites you to take your senses on a trip around the world right here in London (we knew you’d be happy to forget the airport queues and jetlag).
We’re very excited to announce The Sound & Supper Club - our unmissable evening in support of mental health charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) with DJ Olly Roberts and Chef Leon Rothera.
Let us paint a picture of what promises to be an incredible evening: in a bid to go against boundaries and limitations, DJ Olly and Chef Leon have joined forces to create a night which travels the world through taste and sound. Guests will experience a menu and audio journey that simply will not be defined by one genre, mood or feeling. You can expect a 6-course sharing menu from Chef Leon who will be showcasing international flavours accompanied by tunes from DJ Olly’s vinyl collection which have been cleverly selected to complement each dish.
With an impressive history of Michelin-starred restaurants and catering for A-list productions, Leon will bring his years of experience and travelling the world to combine fresh ingredients with big, bold flavours in his one-off menu for The Pilgrm. After many years living and working in Brixton, market-fresh produce and Caribbean influences make a welcome appearance throughout (check out the sample menu on the ticket page!).
Finding magic in simplicity and celebrating international artisan processes are at our core at The Pilgrm, which is why we felt an immediate affiliation with Chef Leon whose cooking is largely inspired by his love for honest ingredients, extensive travels, and his rural childhood spent living off the land.
And let’s not forget the music! Somewhat of a resident DJ and great friend of ours, those who know us well will have enjoyed music from Olly Roberts at previous Pilgrm parties and events, and can look forward to discovering new sounds from around the globe. Guests will be treated to an eclectic mix like no other - spanning several genres from Folk to Electronica and Soul, where the music will merge with the food. Think Jerk pork with a backdrop of reggae dub; we're not fibbing when we say a unique sensory exploration awaits.
A cause close to both Leon and Olly’s hearts, all profits from the evening’s tickets will be going to mental health charity, CALM.
