Women in Wine this International Women's Day
The world of wine has historically been a largely male-dominated arena. But thankfully, times are changing, and women are not only contributing to the industry but changing it for the better. The once guarded club is becoming accessible for all - just as it should be, and we're here for it.
This international Women's Day, we're joining forces with Guardian food and wine writer Fiona Beckett and wine consultant and educator Emily Harman to bring you an evening dedicated to celebrating some of the women in wine. We'll be raising a glass to the female trailblazers in the industry, discussing some thought-provoking topics with our panel guest - writer, educator, and recently turned winemaker Christina Rasmussen, and enjoying a guided tasting of some brilliant wines made by women. A selection of cheese, meats, bread and other nibbles will be served alongside, to pair nicely with all the delicious vintages chosen by Emily.
All ticket profits will go to Equal Measuers 2030 in support of their campaign for gender equality worldwide.
