Over in the East, Whitechapel Gallery's turned 125 with a free, eight-week festival across 40 local partners. In terms of food, Rho's Pop-Up in The Lounge is running Wednesday to Saturday, 6–9.30pm so there is no need to plan ahead, just come down. Or grab a Temple bike and cycle to Canteen on Golborne Road, which never takes bookings and is open all through the week. Just leave your name at the door, grab a glass of wine across the street at Golborne Deli, and head back when your table's ready. About as last-minute as dinner gets.
