The Snack Off

On the 17th September The Pilgrm will be throwing an all-afternoon Malaysian snack party, which sees 3 incredible chefs go head to head with 6 different dishes!

Expect ingenious Malaysian flavours from Abby Lee, founder and head chef of Mambow, Sugen Gopal, founder and head chef of Roti King, and Ramael Scully, founder and head chef of Scully St James. Cocktails will be crafted by none other than Untitled Drinks (Bar Termini & 69 Colebrooke Row), and Newcomer Wines will be in charge of the vino - all against the backdrop of live tunes courtesy of DJ Crooked Pinky from Terrarium LDN.

Tickets (now sold out!) include 6 large snacks (4 savoury and 2 sweet) per person and a cocktail crafted by Untitled Drinks on arrival. Cocktails, wine, beer and soft drinks will be available to purchase seperately on the day.

The menu:

Chef Sugen

  • Ayam Goreng Berempah, Achar Timun, Sambal Belachan: Spiced Fried Chicken marinated in Roti King’s spice blend mix, served with Nonya Pickles & fiery Sambal

  • Roti Kaya: Roti King’s famous sweet roti, filled with coconut jam

Chef Scully

  • Beef Cheek Rendang Nuggets: Spiced marinated beef cheeks slowly cooked in aromatic coconut paste.
